Fitness for Work assessments identify if psychological symptoms are present, which would negatively affect an employee’s ability to perform their work in an efficient and safe manner. A review of the Position Description for which the employee usually occupies, or prospective employee is applying for, is taken into account during this assessment.
Assessments consist of a clinical interview and testing for a thorough approach.
A statement within the report provided, indicates whether or not the assessed individual is 'Fit for Work' and if restrictions would apply.
If required, recommendations are made to the referrer in relation to rehabilitation requirements for a current employee, and how to best achieve a successful graduated return to work (GRTW).
